Hi, I'm Penne. I'm a wife and mom of three. When I almost died in 2021, I was determine to give my kids all the tools they needed in life, starting in the kitchen. I am an avid foodie and of course, married one. I love to cook and our whole family loves to eat, so I'm teaching my little foodies what I know. We hope that our story and videos inspire others to get their families in the kitchen and make memories.

Tortellini & Sausage Soup

Oh I love this recipe. It's hearty, it's tasty and it's just good comfort food. This is what happens when pasta collides with soup. I had to use extra broth and tomatoes because like I always say, we have a big family and extra people tonight. It produced full, happy belly's. It's called Tortellini & Sausage Soup by InstruPix. We did another soup that's similar but I think I like this one more. I found this pull apart garlic bread at the local grocery outlet and OMG Becky, heavenly just heavenly.

I made this meal in the Instant Pot as usual. You know, come to think of it, I don't own a crockpot anymore. I used to and I used to use it all the time. Now though I have all three sizes of the Instant Pot and I use them all, all the time. Sometimes at the same time! A lot of time I don't even use my stove because I can do everything in one. Like I did in this video. I sautéed the onions, browned the meat and pressure cooked the liquid. You can do what a crockpot does in 6-8 hour in 1 hour or less!

In this video Miss Spanstastic (I think that is officially going to be Paisley's stage name) danced and did her own cooking show as we waited for the Instant Pot to do it's thing. As my husband and I talked she was in the background talking about carrots. We just laughed. We had a few unexpected things happen. Like the cream cheese fell out of the wrapper into the pot of liquids, covering me and the counter. When I went to release the pressure from the pot, it's started to spit and I had to grab a towel as my ceiling was being splatter painted. There is never a lack of excitement while making dinner.
